What is a Skinny BBL?
Skinny Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is a type of BBL surgery intended to alter the form and contour of the buttocks for patients with an athletic or thin body type, while the technique is essentially the same as traditional BBL, a smaller quantity of fat is transferred to the hips in order to generate a slenderer hip form.
How is a skinny BBL performed?
During Skinny BBL, the plastic surgeon will typically use liposuction to remove extra fat from troublesome body parts like the lower back, thighs, upper and lower abdomen, and bra rolls. After being extracted from the patient, this fat is cleaned and ready to be transferred to the hip. To give the buttock a more lifted and rounder appearance, the plastic surgeon will then use small, precise injections to transfer the purified fat into specific parts of the buttock. Usually, less fat is transferred than with traditional BBL in order to better contour the buttocks in accordance with the patient's desired form and body type.
The patient has to avoid sitting or lying directly on their hips for a certain period of time after hip surgery in order to facilitate proper fusion and integration of the transferred fat with the surrounding tissues.
