About breast reconstruction (breast repair) surgeries
Whole or partial loss of breast tissue in women due to cancer or any other reason may result in holistic deficiency and related negative moods in women.
Breast reconstruction can be performed simultaneously with the removal of the breast according to the oncological process, or it can be performed after the surgical-oncological treatment is completed.
As treatment methods, breast reconstruction can be performed by placing silicone-containing breast prostheses produced for these surgeries, using materials also known as balloon treatment, which we call expander, and/or using the patient's own tissues. Which of these methods will be chosen and its timing is shaped according to the oncological process, the patient's anatomical structure and expectations.
Another type of operation used in cases of complete or partial loss of breast tissue due to cancer or any other reason is breast reconstruction, that is, breast repair operation.
Mastectomy and simultaneous breast reconstruction operations have better visual results. However, it is possible for the patient to receive radiotherapy after the surgery, the patient's request or the surgery that is postponed due to oncological reasons, to be performed later.
It is possible to obtain better, more holistic visual results by applying a lift/reduction/augmentation to the opposite breast if needed.
