What is a brow lifting operation?
Brow lift is an operation that removes the low brow level and the appearance that gives the face an old and tired expression. The eyebrow level that should be in women is slightly higher and curved than the eyebrow level of men. With aging, some drooping occurs in the eyebrows. This low level can be corrected with eyebrow and forehead lift surgeries.
The ideal eyebrow level in women is a few millimeters above the upper orbital bone, and in men, it is just above the upper orbital bone. At the same time, the shape of the eyebrows in women is slightly curved. Patients whose eyebrows are below these ideal levels are candidates for this surgery.
As in all surgeries, it is recommended to stop smoking at least 2 weeks beforehand. The patient should inform his doctor about the drugs he uses. In particular, blood thinners may need to be discontinued or rearranged before surgery.
A few 1.5 cm incisions made in the scalp and with the help of a camera (endoscopic) are entered and the connective tissues that hold the eyebrows on the bone structure are separated. The eyebrows are fixed in their new place. In the same surgery, the forehead and temple areas are also stretched.

Patients are usually discharged on the same day after surgery. On the 2nd day, the dressing is opened and the patients can take a bath.
There may be swelling and occasional bruises on the upper eyelids and forehead. After 1 week, patients can return to their social lives.
